The patent cell of TRACC organized a talk on “Patent Essentials: Unlocking the Secrets to Protect your Inventions, in the Department of Computer Applications and B.Voc Software Development. The resource persons for the talk was Dr. Frincy Francis and Dr. Tintu Jose Manicketh.  A total of 32 students from Vth semester Bsc Computer Applications (triple main) ,30 students from BVoc Software Development and 6 staffs attended the class. The talk mainly focused on how to file and get patent for the research /project works done by students and teachers in department.

Outcome of the activity: The students interacted with the resource persons and cleared their doubts. The session gave an insight on what is patenting, which works can be patented and how to go about through the entire process of patenting.
