As part of its Student and Faculty Enrichment Program, The Department of English hosted a series of National Webinars that laid focus on the theme “The Deterritorialization of Spaces and the Politics of Language, Space and Gender in 2020” The series titled “Turning Pages: Reconfiguring The Politics of Space in 2020” extended across five sessions initiated by Dr. Rakhee Kalita Moral, Associate Professor, Cotton University, Guwahati on “Speaking from the Hills: Feminist Spaces, Oralities, Border Narratives” on 24th May, 2020. This was followed by talks given by Dr. Priya K Nair, Research Officer, KSHEC, on ” Critical Geography” on the 28th of May; on the “Politics of Deconstruction” by Prof. Josy Joseph, Associate Professor, S.B. College on 29th May; “On Minor Literatures” offered by Dr Atanu Bhattacharya, Professor, Centre for English Studies, Central University of Gujarat, Gandhinagar on 12th June and concluded with the talk on “Immigrant Women and Gendered Spaces” by Dr. Rakhee Kalita Moral on the 17th of June.
