Department of Mathematics in co-ordination with Kerala Mathematical Association, conducted a National Seminar on ‘Analysis and Algebra’ on 26^th August’ 2017. The seminar was inaugurated by Dr. R. Parvathy, Associate professor and head, department of Mathematics, Vellalar College for Women, Erode, Tamil Nadu. The seminar was presided by Dr. T. Thrivikraman, president of Kerala Mathematical Association.

Two lectures were held on that day – Lecture 1 on ‘Real Analysis’ by Dr. R. Parvathy, Associate professor and head, department of Mathematics, Vellalar College for Women, Erode, Tamil Nadu; Lecture 2 on ‘Fuzzy Algebra’ by Dr. Paul Issac, Associate professor, Department of Mathematics, Bharat Mata College, Thrikkakara. Around 85 people, including students, teachers and researchers attended the seminar.
