About 50 students from our college joined the My Home Green Home Challenge conducted by the Haritha Kerala Mission. The objective of this program was to ensure that household waste is sorted, recycled properly and processed properly so that the waste in the home will not be harm the environment. The participants were from Department of Commerce (SF) and Economics department. For this purpose, the Haritha Kerala Mission website has posted the photos of waste segregation done by children in their home environment. Along with the photo, they also gave marks to their own house as per the challenge set forth in the challenge. The students showed how waste management can be implemented and set an example for other college students.
