The Department of Cloud Computing and Cybersecurity organized a Hands-On Workshop on Machine Learning on 12th December 2024, conducted by Ms. Leena, Senior AI Consultant at iDatalytics from 1 pm to 5 pm in the Centenary Block computer lab. The workshop aimed to provide students with practical exposure to machine learning concepts and tools, preparing them for real-world applications in AI and data analytics.
The key topics covered included the Introduction to Machine Learning, Supervised and Unsupervised Learning Techniques, Model Training and Evaluation and Practical Demonstrations of AI Tools. Participants worked on live datasets to apply machine learning algorithms and gained insights into using these tools effectively in cybersecurity and cloud computing applications.
The workshop successfully enhanced students’ understanding of machine learning fundamentals and their practical implementation. The interactive sessions and hands-on experience helped bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and useful application. The event concluded with a vote of thanks, appreciating Ms. Leena for her valuable insights and the active participation of students.
