The resource person, Mr. Jomon Joseph is an expertise in the field of investment and consulting. The session was attended by the PGDM students of the Department of Management Studies on 30th August 2019 at 8:30 am.
The talk commenced by an interactive session with the students discussing about their previous course background and the reason for opting this course.The students were briefed about the scope and applications of business analytics in the current scenario. The speaker also emphasised about the skills and tactics required to excel in this field in the future, and take their career to the next level.
The resource person also highlighted the importance of being updated to the happenings around which implied the importance of reading newspapers daily and get updated of information and technology. Various real life illustrations were discussed to signify and to make the students understand about the concept that he was dealing with. What was noteworthy was that the speaker could bring in several corporate insights from his consulting experience to the session.
The session was very informative and insightful in guiding the students in finding the necessary career opportunities and gave them idea about how to equip themselves with skillsets to be employable for these highly sought after job profiles.
