The Department of Psychology, St. Teresa’s College (Autonomous), Ernakulam, in collaboration with the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Ernakulam, is participating in the Samvada Project initiated by the Kerala Legal Services Authority (KeLSA), High Court of Kerala. The project was inaugurated on November 23, 2023, by Smt. Honey M. Varghese, Principal District and Sessions Judge & Chairperson of DLSA. The initiative includes legal awareness sessions conducted by advocates, covering topics like fundamental rights, child protection laws, cyber laws, and online safety, along with life skills and social skill training for effective studying and anxiety management. Additionally, UG students and faculty of the Psychology Department lead life skills sessions for school students every Thursday at the District Court. Participating schools include Gregorian Public School, Greets Public School, St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School, Cardinal Higher Secondary School (Thrikkakara), and Govt. Fisheries High School.
