On the 20.02.2024, the French department welcomed Sophie and Eloïse Trenda, sisters of our foreign faculty, Dr. Caroline Trenda, for a session about life and career opportunities in Europe.

Sophie Trenda is a civil servant living in Paris. She works for the museums of the French capital.

Eloïse Trenda is a statistician for an international company, she works in Hamburg, Germany.

Together, they shared their experience as students in the European Union (EU): Sophie was part of the Erasmus Program during her BA in art and lived in Czech Republic ; Eloïse studied in Strasbourg, capital of the EU before completing her MA in Poland in Communication.

They talked about the importance of learning a new language for their professional career as well as their daily life in European countries where so many nationalities and languages meet.

Since many students of the French department intent to pursue studies or careers in Europe, Sophie and Eloïse gave also some insight of the European way of life.

UG and PG students were all really interested and enthusiastic, the topic raised their curiosity. They asked a lot of questions and everybody enjoyed this moment.
