The Department of mathematics, St.Teresa’s college, conducted a mathematical workshop “LEVIOSA 2K17”, on 20th December 2017.The programme was inaugurated by Prof.MaryMetilda, Retd.Principal of Maharaja’s college and alumnae of the mathematics Department. College Director Rev.Dr.Sr.Vinitha CSST presided over the function. College principal Dr.Sajimol Augustine felicitated the function.

First DC student Nazreen C.J was honoured for her exemplary achievements in various fields like photography, painting and badminton.

The inaugural ceremony was followed by plethora of events. It started with lecture on the importance of mathematics in life by Prof. Mary Metilda. Around 70 students from various colleges participated in the fest. Students of mathematics Department arranged working and still models reflecting principles of mathematics in different fields. ‘Wiskunde-The land of mysteries’ provided a visual and cognitive experience showcasing the mathematical brilliance of ancient Egyptians. Intercollegiate quiz competition, math guru, treasure hunt, and mathematical snake and ladder were other programmes conducted
