On the 26th of October the Department of Home Science had organized a cooking competition named ‘Kitchen Master’ in Association with Nestle India Pvt Ltd. This competition was in collaboration with the Department of B.Voc Food Processing Technology .The competition had two rounds where the students had to send a dish of their choice and written format of the recipe. The shortlisted students were Rosalind Thomas, Mary Soniya, Fareedha Tasneem, Amra Fathima, Jyothi Ajithkumar and Rose Mathew respectively. The second round of the competition was held live on an online platform. The judge of the competition was Ms. Felina Eric along with Ms. Sera Paul who is the Activation Consultant o Nestle India Pvt Ltd who coordinated the competition efficiently. She is an alumni if Women’s Christian College (WCC) Chennai. She was associated with Nestle as their culinary consultant and Home Economist. Ms. Felina Eric is a regular invitee to judge cookery contest at various events conducted by prestigious associations such as Rotary, Ecard and Lodge and outside India. She is also an avid blogger who focuses on traditional recipes. As the students were preparing their dishes the judge asked pertinent questions. An exemplary display of skills were put up by the students.  The winner of the contest was Ms. Rose Mathew of 1st DC PG FN of the Home Science , the First Runner-up was Ms. Roslind Thomas from Commerce Department of Commerce(Self Financing) followed by Ms. Mary Soniya of Final year BSc  from the Department of Home Science.
