The Department of Commerce (SF),and the Department of Management Studies, in collaboration with the Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Cochin, organized the preliminary round of the speech competition titled “Kerala of My Dreams” on 1st August 2025. The competition saw the enthusiastic participation of 14 students, each representing a different department from St. Teresa’s College.This was the first round of a nation-level speech competition, and the first prize winner, Shaniba B (B.Com Hons – SF), will be representing St. Teresa’s College in the next round to be held at SH College, Thevara.
The theme encouraged students to express their ideas and aspirations for how Kerala can transform into an ideal state. Participants shared perspectives on infrastructure, governance, education reforms, social inclusivity, environmental sustainability, and cultural pride. The competition was judged by two in-house language experts, ensuring a professional and fair evaluation.

The winners were:
First Prize: Shaniba B (B.Com Hons – SF)
Second Prize: Anjali Kishore Mehta (BMS Hons)
Third Prize: Kajol Zakir (IMA Economics)
