The Teresian Instrumentation and Consultancy Centre (TICC) conducted internship programs and workshops aimed at enhancing students practical skills in microbiology and laboratory instrumentation. These programs provided hands-on training in microbial techniques, laboratory safety practices, culture handling, microbial analysis, and the operation of basic laboratory instruments, enabling participants to gain valuable practical experience beyond the classroom.
A 60-hour Internship Program on Foundations of Microbiological Techniques was conducted for the students of M. Voc. Food Processing Technology program from St. Teresa’s College (Autonomous), Ernakulam. In addition, a one-day workshop on Microbiology Techniques was organized for the students of the II DC Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics (CND) program of the same institution, introducing participants to fundamental microbiological methods and laboratory practices.
TICC also extended its training support to students from other higher education institutions through intensive internship programs. A 120-hour Internship Program on Foundations of Microbiological Techniques and Laboratory Instrumentation was successfully completed by II DC Zoology students from Deva Matha College, followed by a similar program for II DC Botany students from Fatima Mata National College. These structured internships provided participants with comprehensive exposure to microbiological techniques, laboratory instrumentation, research methodologies, and data analysis.
