Teresian International, the international wing of St. Teresa’s College in collaboration with the department of History organised a three day international seminar in the campus from 7th to 9th January, 2019 on the topic “Art and Democracy-the Political Aesthetics of the Contemporary Age”. Professor VinayLal of the University of California was the keynote speaker. Prof. Amelia Rauser and Prof. Michael Clapper from Franklin and Marshall College, Pennsylvania and Prof. Claudia Orenstein from Hunter College, City University of New York were the other resource persons. Ms. Anita Dube, curator of Kochi Muziris Biennale, also participate in a panel discussion on the theme of the seminar along with the international speakers after the inaugural ceremony on the 7th. Delegates from India and abroad presented papers on all three days.
