The Department of Physical Education celebrated the International Day of Yoga on June 21 with an inspiring display of Suryanamaskara and various asanas at the Gym Plaza.

The programme began with a welcome address by Dr. Thomas K.M., Head of the Department of Physical Education, who warmly greeted the gathering and emphasized the significance of yoga in enhancing physical and mental health.

The event was formally inaugurated by the Principal, Dr. Anu Joseph, who encouraged the participants to adopt yoga as a daily practice for a balanced and healthy lifestyle.

A thoughtful Yoga Day message was delivered by Dr. Sr. Suchitha CSST, underlining the role of yoga in fostering inner peace and overall well-being.

The Yoga Team Captain, Ms. Ayisha Almass P.A, led the session, skillfully demonstrating various asanas and guiding the participants through the Suryanamaskara sequence.

The celebration reflected the institution’s commitment to promoting wellness, mindfulness, and physical fitness among students and staff.
