In connection with Independence Day Celebration, the Department of Botany conducted an Inter-departmental Patriotic song competition on 16/08/2023 (Wednesday) at 2.30 pm at UG laboratory of Botany. Mrs. Ani Thomas, Assistant Professor, Department of Women Studies and Mrs. Sherin Philip, Assistant Professor, Department of B.Voc. Food Processing Technology served as the judges. 10 groups of Students from 7 different departments namely, Computer Applications,  B. Com., Chemistry, Economics, Home Science, RMID and Botany participated in the competition The first prize was won by the Ist B.Sc. Computer Application (Triple main); second prize was shared betweenIIIrd B.Sc. Home Science and IIIrd B.Sc. Botany; Third prize was won by the IInd M.Sc. Botany students. The staff advisor Dr. Aghil Soorya A, Botany Department teachers and students added to the success of the programme with their presence.
