The English Association was inaugurated on July 6 th 2018 by N.S Madhavan, a leading writer in
contemporary Malayalam Literature. The ceremony was presided over by the Director of the college
Rev. Dr. Sr. Vinitha and Head Of Department of English, Dr.Beena Job. Sri. N.S Madhavan delivered the
keynote address. Rev.Dr. Sr.Vinitha and Dr. Beena Job felicitated the gathering. The report for the academic
year 2017-2018 was presented by Riya Rose Joseph, Secretary of the association. Dr.Priya K Nair,
Assistant Professor, Department of English was honoured on the release of her latest work of
translation, Sugandhi Alias Andaal Devanayaki, a novel by the prominent Malayalam writer, T.D
Ramakrishnan. Dr. Maria Teresa Chakunny, Assistant Professor, Department of English and Dr. Gayathri
P.J were felicitated on being conferred Doctoral Degree. Student achievers Parvathy Salil, who secured Young India
fellowship for M.A Liberal Arts at Asoka University Haryana, Riya Rose Joseph and Neema Thomas, who
attended Organisational behavior class at Richmond University, London were also acknowledged by the
Department of English and Center for Research.
