The aptitude training was followed by soft skill training that was conducted from 18 July 2017 to 21 July 2017 .The resource person responsible for handling session on soft skill was Mrs. Sadhana Deshmukh,National Head for Aptitude and Soft skills ,iNurture Education Solution Pvt.Ltd.The session was conducted from 8:30 to 3:30 with an objective to prepare the students for the next level of placement test i.e group discussion and personal interview by improving their communication skills , body language ,gestures and understanding their emotions.
DAY1:The first day started off with the introduction session by dividing the students into pairs where they were assigned the task to introduce their partner by stating their name, hobbies and the goals they intend to achieve. The aim of this introduction session was to improve our intercommunication skills.After that the students were given an iCAN sheet in which they had to mention their weakness ,strengths ,opportunities and threats and each student was called up on to speak it in front of the audience. Classes were are held on use of professional language , business etiquette and email writing and the day ended with many simulation activities in form of role plays,team games based on business etiquette where students participated actively and enjoyed to the core.
DAY2:The second day of the training session the students were trained to prepare a good CV and points to be kept in minds while writing a CV .The students were also made familiar with difference between job specification and description and were divided into groups to prepare a job description for any profession. On the last day a mock group discussion was conducted in which the students were divided into two groups and each group were given a topic for discussion. After the group discussion ,a mock interview was conducted for some students in which an emotional intelligence of students was assessed .
The soft skill training helped the students to overcome the fear faced in public speaking and it also enhanced their communication and leadership skills through group discussion and role play. The student’s participation was also very active and they enjoyed all the activities and games throughout the training period.
