Students of DHA gave health education to public regarding Dengue fever on 25th October 2019 in front of Krishna hospital, Ernakulam. The city’s filthy canals, drains and water tanks are turning into a breeding ground for mosquitoes including Aedes, the dreaded carrier of dengue. With monsoon setting in, fever cases have increased exponentially in the Ernakulam district. Out of 264 cases registered this year with suspected symptoms of dengue, 105 have been confirmed. We identified the relevance of the topic from this, and rendered awareness session about Dengue, its types, signs and symptoms, diagnostic methods, treatment, and preventive and control measures.
