The Department of History at St. Teresa’s College (Autonomous), Ernakulam, commemorated World Environment Day on 5th June 2025 with the Green Initiative: Plant and Nurture a Sapling. Convenors Dr. Stancy S. and Coordinator Ms. Lekshmi P. J. spearheaded the event. The organizing committee, comprising Dr. Vinitha T. Tharakan, Ms. Jacquiline Deepika M.X., Ms. Greshma Benny, and Ms. Chandana S. Natakappura, ensured the smooth execution of the initiative. Students actively participated by planting and nurturing saplings in the campus premises. The
event fostered a sense of environmental responsibility and highlighted the importance of afforestation in combating climate change. Participants were encouraged to continue their efforts in maintaining a green environment.
