St. Teresa’s College (Autonomous), Ernakulam has decided to commence five new Programmes from next academic year onwards. These include
Undergraduate Programme – B.Sc. Nutrition and Dietetics
Postgraduate Programmes – M.Sc. Applied Statistics and Data Analytics, M.Sc. Psychology, M.A. Journalism and Mass Communication and M.A. Malayalam.
The Programmes are designed in such a way, to incorporate innovative curriculum and teaching methods and technology-based learning and is expected to equip the students for UGC-NET and other competitive examinations.
The Undergraduate Programme on B.Sc. Nutrition and Dietetics deals with Health and better food habits. This Programme is expected to bring in very attractive job opportunities for students because of the challenges posed by unhealthy food practices and lifestyle diseases.
M.Sc. Applied Statistics and Data Analytics, makes maximum use of the possibilities of topics like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Data Mining which finds significant applications in the developing technology.
The M.Sc. Psychology Programme introduces the different areas of Psychology to students through experiential and practical learning.
The college has developed a well equipped Media lab with all necessary sophisticated infrastructure and the M.A. Journalism and Mass Communication students can make use of this lab to get practical experience.
Media studies and Translation are the elective courses offered for M. A. Malayalam. It also plans to give special training in Malayalam computing.
