STUDY TOUR 2017 ( COORG, CHIKAMAGLUR, SHIMOGA, BELUR)
A total of 45 students of 3rd B.Sc. and 2nd M.Sc. zoology participated in a 5 day study tour organised by Olive vacations to Coorg, Chikamaglur, Shimoga and Belur from 4th to 10th December 2017 accompanied by three teachers Dr. Helvin Vincent, Ms. Nimitha R. Chandran and Ms. Jaya .S. The journey commenced on 4th December at 8 pm from the college campus and reached Coorg on 5th December by 6:30 am. The activities for the day included river rafting, sight-seeing, bamboo forest, shopping, campfire, and DJ. The spot for the next day was Chikamaglur. The students went for trekking in a jeep through the mountains to the Mullanjanagiri peak where they experienced pristine and beautiful misty mountains. The day concluded with a visit to another peak full of mist. The third day, the students visited lion and tiger safari park and Jog falls at Shimoga. The final day activities involved adventure water sports at Belur. The tour concluded by around 4 pm and gave the students a wonderful and a refreshing experience. The students reached back the college by around 8:30 am on 10th December 2017.
