The Teresian Instrumentation and Consultancy Centre (TICC) organized faculty training programs to enhance practical competencies in microbiological techniques and laboratory practices. These programs were designed to provide hands-on training in essential microbiological procedures, including aseptic techniques, microbial culture handling, media preparation, isolation and enumeration of microorganisms, and basic analytical methods commonly employed in microbiology laboratories. The training sessions aimed to strengthen the technical expertise of faculty members and support their teaching, research, and student mentoring activities.

Faculty members from the Departments of Zoology and Home Science of St. Teresa’s College (Autonomous), Ernakulam, actively participated in these programs. Participants included Dr. Sreelekshmi S, Dr. Jemma Pius, and Ms. Ponni J. Mohan from the Department of Zoology, as well as Ms. Nimmy Jacob and Dr. Rajeesha C. R. from the Department of Home Science. Through structured training in basic microbiological techniques, the participants gained practical exposure to laboratory procedures and microbial analysis, enhancing their ability to guide student projects and undertake research activities.
