The Teresian Instrumentation and Consultancy Centre (TICC), St. Teresa’s College (Autonomous), Ernakulam, significantly enhanced its research infrastructure through the installation of three advanced scientific instruments procured under the DST-FIST 2022 – Phase II funding scheme. These additions have expanded the centre’s analytical capabilities and provide researchers and students with access to state-of-the-art facilities for multidisciplinary research.

The newly installed instruments include the UV-Vis-NIR Spectrophotometer (JASCO V-770ST), Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS) Nanoparticle Size Analyzer (Analytical Technologies Model 3201), and Thermogravimetric Analyzer (TGA) (SETLINE). The UV-Vis-NIR Spectrophotometer facilitates advanced spectroscopic studies and reaction kinetics analysis, the DLS analyzer enables precise characterization of nanoparticles and colloidal systems, while the TGA is used for evaluating thermal stability and compositional changes in materials. The installation of these instruments has substantially strengthened TICC’s research and analytical capabilities, providing enhanced support for academic and research activities across multiple disciplines.
