On the 4th and 8th of October 2024, Department of French and Tourism, the Youva Tourism Club, in collaboration with Ministry of Tourism, Kochi, organised “Duniya 2024”, on the occasion of World Tourism Day. The event was open to all the Teresians and outside colleges.

The event started on the 04.10.2024, with a quiz competition as well as an itinerary competition.

On the 08.10.2024, everybody gathered in the Platinum Jubilee Auditorium where we were welcomed by  vice principal Dr. Sr. Suchita ; Mr. M. Narendran, assistant director (Governement of India), Ministry of Tourism-Kochi ; Dr. Nirmala Lilly, CEO, Infinity Hospitality Services ; our chief guest Ms. Rashmi T., under secretary, Department of Tourism (Government of Kerala). Each of them gave a thoughtful speech, reminding the importance and values of tourism. World Tourism Day 2024 was held under the motto “Tourism & Peace”.

Next came the cultural program, conducted by the students of our department, to welcome our dear guests. The Fashion Show was a big hit!

And then it was time for the various competitions: photography, craft making (out of waste), poster making and social media challenge. Students from differents colleges participated, everybody went home with a prize and the satisfaction of having spent a great day, sharing good memories.
