In commemoration of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, the Department of Psychology in collaboration with Teresian Rural Outreach Programme, organized a Drug Abuse Awareness programme titled “Say No to Drugs” on 26th June 2025 at St. Teresa’s Higher Secondary School. The session was conducted by the final-year postgraduate students of the department as part of their community outreach initiative. The aim of the programme was to create awareness among adolescents about the harmful effects of drug use and to promote healthy, informed decision-making. The student facilitators delivered an interactive session covering key issues such as the psychological and physical impact of drug abuse, the role of peer pressure, early warning signs, and strategies for refusal and coping.
