Mr. Icy Varghese, Director – Opterna technologies Pvt Limited shared his experiences being an intrapreneur in different countries through his talk on “Doing business in a connected world”. He began his talk by bringing the attention of the audience to some of the recent happenings in the global business scenario. He discussed how something that happens in one country today has a ripple effect all over the globe. He also emphasized that business in a connected world does not just mean globalization but also, the technological proximity that people today have. His explanation of the internet of things opened questions among the students, which they found very interesting. The open session attracted questions on demonetization and Brexit which spurred interesting discussion.
