The Department of Home Science Organized a workshop on ‘Dining Etiquette’ on 5th November 5, 2020.Dining etiquette helps in the establishment of a persons credibility and reputation .To add on more, I is a skill that adds up to your professional repertoire. The resource person for this workshop was Ms. Molly S Mathew. Ms. Molly S Mathew has an experience of 24 years in the travel industry and worked for the national airline ‘ Air India’ as the Customer Service Officer for 17 years. From 2008 she works as a freelance trainer guiding soft skills to corporates , Students and other local offices. Spices Board, EXL at InfoPark Indiatechs , St. Teresa’s College, Rajagiri College ,YMCA are some of the companies and educational institutions that she has worked with. She has a keen interest towards personality development she specializes in ‘Grooming’ ‘positive thinking’ , ‘Civic awareness’ and ‘Road discipline’ .The welcome address was proposed by Ms. Ashna Shajahan . The session covered guidelines to be followed while presenting oneself during a formal function, Basic arrangement of silverware and its usage, how to carry yourself while dining formally. The resource person shared her experiences to highlight how dining etiquettes can be advantageous and provide an individual confidence. After the session questions of students were addressed. The session was winded up by the Vote of Thanks which was addressed by  Ms. Fiyah Fathima.
