On 4th of September, 2019, a colourful and memorable Onam celebration was held by the Department of Zoology at 2:30 pm. The function began with the prayer song by Vismaya V of 2nd DC. Head of the department, Dr.Meera Jan Abraham, addressed the gathering by highlighting the importance of Onam and it is a tradition and culture. It was followed by a mesmerizing Thiruvathira performance by the PG students. Competitions like musical chairs, pull the tail and onapattu were conducted. Various entertainment programs like group dance, group songs and solo song added more color to the program. The spirit of celebration was raised by the grand arrival of the Mahabeli thamburan who conveyed his onam wishes and went to enjoy the rest of the program with delight. Prizes were distributed to the winners of different competitions.
