ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION: The Department of Computer Applications
conducted the event in two segments, namely, through a skit and a
game.
The skit involved Indu Joshy, Sneha, Anlitta, Salma, Anna Teresa, and
Thushara from II UG Computer Applications.
It portrayed the harmful outcomes of drug abuse by showing a young
girl giving in the persuasion of her toxic colleagues who wanted to
ruin her in the name of college. The skit ended with the girl in despair
and the detrimental consequences of drugs.
The next segment included a game in which the player had to throw a
ring shaped object onto different cones positioned on a table a few
metres away. There were small pieces of papers with numbers from
1-8 placed under the cones. The players were then redirected to a
counter where students asked the players to click on their respective
numbers on a laptop, from which a message was displayed regarding
the positive impacts of a non-drug life. Various students from I and II
UG helped in the grand success of the scheme.
Various posters and charts were hung to educate students and staff.
OUTCOME OF THE ACTIVITY:
The event was successful in numerous ways and awareness on
drugs was spread positively. The Department of Computer
Applications earned the second position in the competition amongst
