The Department of cybersecurity and Applied Computing along with Interncan, launched their first online program “CYBHER”, in collaboration with SheSpace and TechByHeart. This event also featured thought-provoking insights from Aishwarya Dongre IPS. The session was initiated at 2:15 pm, Krishna Kripa, one of the members of Interncan, welcomed everyone to the insightful session. She also invited the Head Of Department, Archana P Menon to formally welcome everybody. After that, Krishna Kripa invited the base founder of SheSpace, Mrs. Ciji George to share a few words. She described cybercrimes and the importance of preventing them. The next session was taken by Shonith Mohan who was a Cybersecurity professional and a certified ethical hacker, along with Manjima Manikandan who was also working in TechByHeart, a colleague of Mr. Shonith Mohan. Shortly after their self-introduction, Mr. Shonith initiated the session by talking about Cybercrime, Phishing, and a tool named ‘MaxPhisher’ which is used for committing this crime. Using that tool, he showed how a hacker can obtain our usernames, passwords, etc. He explained well about it works. At 3 pm, Krishna Kripa invited Aishwarya Dongre IPS (Assistant Director and Superintendent of Police, Kerala Police Academy) who also provided her valuable and thought-provoking awareness about various Cyber Crimes and their prevention. She also advised us to report to the nearest Cyber Police if any Cyber Crime occurs to us. The valuable session came to an end at 3:45 PM with the vote of thanks of Sita Lakshmi, a member of Interncan.
