Gayathri S of II M.Sc. Physics won third prize in National level singing competition in connection with the foundation day celebration of R P Sanjiv Goenka group.  She participated in category A for age group above 14 years. She was selected from online audition across India to compete with 45 chosen ones  held at Kolkata on 26th June 2018. The award consist of a cash prize of Rs. 5000.
