Communicative English – Internship

The Department of Communicative English encourages students to undertake internships as part of the curriculum, closely aligning practical training with academic learning. These internships provide students with hands-on industry experience and exposure to diverse career opportunities in fields such as Journalism, Public Relations, Advertising, Digital Marketing, and Creative Copywriting, thereby supporting their professional and holistic development.

The first- and second-year students of the Department of Communicative English have successfully undertaken various internships as part of their academic curriculum. One of the major internship programmes in which the students actively participated was Manorama Horthus, an art and literature festival conducted at Subhash Park from November 27 to 30, 2026. Students have been pursuing internships in several areas of communication, including Journalism, Digital Marketing, Public Relations, and Media Production. They have been placed in reputed institutions and media organisations such as The Indian Express, Deshabhimani, Kannur Vision, Hivision Channel, and Haritha Keralam Mission, etc. These internship experiences have enabled students to strengthen their professional skills and gain industry-oriented training in real-world communication environments.
