Unique Programmes

  • Nutrition is critical part of health and development. Educating people about healthy eating habits can prevent the onset of chronic conditions before they develop. Promoting nutrition awarenessamong the public is essential for improving public health, reducing the risk of chronic diseases, and enhancing quality of life. It empowers people to make informed decisions about their diet and lifestyle. By increasing nutrition awareness, communities are more likely to adopt healthier eating habits, which can lead to a reduction in lifestyle-related diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, and obesity. The department initiated extension activity called POSHAN MAARGDHARSHAN. This activity aimed at educating the school children regarding nutrients, healthy eating, importance of breakfast, fad diets and many more. When children learn about healthy eating early on, they are more likely to make nutritious food choices as they grow and they also develop a positive relationship with food. When they understands the basics of nutrition from young age they learn to see food as fuel for their bodies. This early education sets the foundation for lifelong learning and development.

A healthy diet is a cornerstone of overall wellness, impacting physical health, mental clarity, mood, energy levels, and even longevity. To focus on this the department initiated a venture called – Teresian Diet Consultancy. Diet consultation provides individualized recommendations tailored to specific health needs, lifestyle, dietary preferences, and goals. Unlike generic diet advice, this personalized approach can make it easier to stick to a plan that suits best for the individual. Small changes recommended in a diet consultation can lead to significant health improvements over time. Diet consultation can provide the support and knowledge to individuals need to make meaningful, sustainable changes to their health.
