Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics
The department of home science was established in the year 1958 and the Postgraduate course Food and Nutrition started in the year 2001. The curriculum here is restricted to make it skill oriented and multidimensional. We have expert teaching staffs, best infrastructure facilities, excellent labs, and library. The students will be comfortable here.
Now a day the role of nutrients and dietetics are increasing. The food habits of people are changing. The one who is a nutrient and dietetics can suggest what kind of food is good considering the client’s age, health etc. A balanced diet is important. Through this, the client’s overall health can be improved. Our department has the research program in Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics. The department has 28 research scholars under 9 research guides. The research papers will be published in national and international journals and the students and faculty present their papers at conferences and workshops in national and international level.
The eligibility to get admission here is B.Sc Degree in Home Science, Botany, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Zoology, Food Science and Quality Control and Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics, B.Sc Nursing, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, BHMS, BAMS, and any related subjects.
