The Department of Chemistry and Centre for Research of St.Teresa’s College conducted a three day certificate course ‘Green and Safe approach to Microscale Volumetric analysis’.The objective of the  programme was to provide a conclusive idea and hands on training on Lab safety and Microscale volumetric analysis for first year B.Sc. students with Chemistry as Core and complimentary subject.

The inaugural session of the program was held on 29th July 2019 at GYM plaza, St. Teresa’s College ,Science Block. There were three sessions on this day-First aid and safety measures in laboratory, Safe disposal of Chemical waste from laboratory, Introduction to Microscale Volumetric Analysis. The resource persons were Dr.Jude Martin Mendez (Associate Professor, Department of Chemistry, St. Albert’s College, Ernakulam), Dr.C. N. Manoj (Managing Trustee, Pelican Foundation, Cherthala, Alappuzha), Dr.Elizabeth Kuruvilla (Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry, St. Teresa’s College, Ernakulam). Lab manual on Microscale Volumetric Analysis for Core and Complementary students authored by faculty members  of the department Dr.Saritha Chandran A. , Ms.Sicily Rilu Joseph and the annual newsletter of the department  ‘RASATHANTHRA – 2019’ edited by Dr.Saritha Chandran A. was released by Dr.Jude Martin Mendez. Hands on training was given to the students on 1st and 2nd of July 2019.
