Monday, 5th of June 2023, the academic year started with the celebration of Environment Day. It was the occasion to remind our dear students the importance of our planet Earth and our responsibility towards Nature.

To continue with this celebration, the 3rd year BA  students of the French Department visited, on the 6th of June, Mangalavanam Bird Sanctuary at the very heart of the city of Kochi. To show their respect to Mother Nature, the students then took the pledge to reduce their plastic footprint, use sustainable and durable materials such as glass, ceramic or wood and cut down their consumption of goods made out of plastic.

After the pledge, the students went on walking in the sanctuary, admiring and reflecting on the green surroundings and trying to spot the birds in the mangroves.
