The French Department was happy to celebrate Bastille Day, La Fête Nationale Française on the 21th of July 2023.

It’s an important day for the French people: la Fête National celebrates the end of the despotic and unfair monarchy in France in 18th Century. The festivities started with the students singing the French national anthem, La Marseillaise. Then, dance and songs were performed by the 1st and 2 year BA students.

A short video and finally a quiz reminded all the meaning of this symbolic day for the French people as well as the many ways this celebratrion is conducted in France.
