A one day webinar on the topic “Career opportunities in Commerce Industry” was organized by our department on 3rd August, 2020. The Speaker of the day was Mr.Vinod Balachandran, FCA, insolvency professional and chartered accountant. He joined the industry as a Financial Controller in November 1995 with the Tata Group, Mumbai and later moved abroad (Qatar) to work in a Conglomerate. In March 2013 he moved to full time practice as a Chartered Accountant. In February 2019 he qualified as an Insolvency Professional. He talked about the various situations existing in countries like Europe, China, India, Japan, Korea etc. He provided various guidelines for students who wish to migrate to other countries and shared its pros and cons. At the end of the session the participants were able to achieve in depth knowledge of the various career opportunities in commerce industry.
