The Department of Botany and Centre for Research celebrated the Botany Association inauguration and Fresher’s Day on 13th of July, 2023 in the Botany Laboratory at 12.00 pm. Dr. Alphonsa Vijaya Jospeh, Principal, St. Teresa’s College, Ernakulam was the Chief Guest. Head of Department, Dr. Liza Jacob, Botany Association staff advisor Dr. Aghil Soorya A, teachers of the department, members of the non-teaching staff, B.Sc. and M.Sc. students and research scholars of the department attended the program. The program was conducted in the hall decorated with hand-made paper crafts hung with threads and stuck using paper adhesive. The program started with a prayer song followed by a welcome speech after which Dr. Alphonsa Vijaya Jospeh inaugurated the Botany Association 2023-24. Further, Dr. Liza Jacob delivered the keynote address. The celebration concluded with the vote of thanks followed by cultural programs.
