The Department of Cybersecurity and Applied Computing organised an awareness session
regarding World Environment Day with great enthusiasm and active participation from
students and faculty members. The event aimed to spread awareness about environmental
conservation and sustainability practices among the youth and the community.
The celebration commenced with an insightful awareness session led by the Student Coordinator
, who spoke on the significance of World Environment Day and the urgent need for collective
action to protect the planet. The session highlighted critical issues such as pollution,
deforestation, climate change, and the importance of adopting eco-friendly habits in our daily
lives. Following the awareness session, a poster presentation was organised where students
creatively displayed informative and thought-provoking posters related to various
environmental themes. The event concluded with a vibrant cultural segment that included
environment-themed songs and dance performances by students. These performances
effectively conveyed environmental messages through creative expressions, emphasizing the
bond between humans and nature.
