On 08/07/2019, the students and Faculty of Community College had organized and conducted an Awareness Program on “Prevention of Monsoon diseases through Environmental hygiene” at Al-Farookhia Higher Secondary School, Cheranalloor , to Plus One students, as a part of our TROP activities.

The program was inaugurated by Mr. Fasalul Haque, Principal Al-Farookhia Higher Secondary School, Cheranalloor. He emphasis the importance of having personal and environmental hygiene in preventing diseases, in a country like India, who have dense population and limited waste disposal resources. Health Inspector of Cheranalloor Panchayat Mr. Joseph Binu briefed about the programme.

The much-awaited monsoon season Provides respite from the summer heat. However, monsoon also brings along numerous diseases every year due to harmful viruses. The humid climate, heavy rains and windy environment spreads many infectious diseases. These shows the relevance of having awareness about monsoon diseases and the ways to prevent and control it. The students of Community College conducted the awareness classes on the  topics of Chicken guinea, Dengue, Malaria, Typhoid, Hepatitis, Diarrhea, H1N1, Leptospirosis with the help of video Presentations and Power Point slides. The program was found very useful to the students to understand the topic well. They interacted with the presenters and clarified their doubts.
