PowerPoint Presentation Competition

In the memory of former Head of the Department Dr. Annie Joseph Vallamattom, a state level  presentation competition was conducted by the Department of Physics and Center for Research, St. Teresa’s College (Autonomous), Ernakulam. The competition was held on 9th October, 2023 at the Audio Vision Room in the Science Block of St. Teresa’s College (Autonomous), Ernakulam. The competition was organized by Dr. Sreeja V G as the Convener and Ms. Aparna J (II PG), Ms. N Sornamuhi (II PG), Ms. Angeline Anna (I PG) and Ms. Sara (I PG) as the student coordinators.

A total of 12 participants came to the competition while 21 participants registered for the competition. The formal function began at 9.30 am with Aparna J from II PG hosting the function. The prayer song was sung by N Sornamuhi from II PG followed by the welcome address by the Head of the Department of Physics and Center for Research Dr. Priya Parvathi Ameena Jose. Prof. Kala M S, the Vice Principal of the college later on introduced late Dr. Annie Joseph Vallamattom as she was a person who knew the latter both personally and professionally the best. With this the formal function came to an end and the competition began with N Sornamuhi from II PG hosting the competition. The competition was judged by Dr Anoop P D, Catholicate College, Pathanamthitta and Dr Sreekanth Varma, SD College, Alappuzha. Both are Assistant Professors in their respective colleges. 

The competition began by 10.15 am and by 11.15 a five-minute tea break was given. The competition resumed and various exciting presentations on various topics were presented. By 12.45 pm a lunch break was given and the competition again resumed by 1.45 pm. The competition then winded up by 3.00 pm after which Ms. Siniya performed a song while the judges tabulated the marks. The judges later on gave their feedback and both of them reminisced their memory of working with Dr. Annie Joseph Vallamattom. After the performance the judges announced the result with the first prize for Rheba Suresh from Sacred Heart College, Thevara, second prize for Arshad M from Al-Ameen College, Edathua and the third prize for Mary Sandra M S from St. Paul’s College, Kalamassery. The prize was distributed by the Head of the Department of Physics and Center for Research Dr. Priya Parvathi Ameena Jose. The vote of thanks was then proposed by Ms. Sandra from I PG. With that the program came to an end with the participation certificates being distributed to all the participants.
