The St. Teresa’s College, Department of History celebrated its Alumni Day with fervor and enthusiasm at the Arts Auditorium from 11:00 am to 1:15 pm. The event witnessed a delightful blend of cultural performances, felicitations, and nostalgic moments shared by alumni members both online and offline. 

The event commenced with a serene prayer by Aadrika Prem, setting a solemn tone for the gathering. Dr. Stancy S, the Head of Department, extended warm felicitations, acknowledging the invaluable contributions of the alumni to the department’s legacy. 

Discussion regarding fixing a date for conducting the alumni meet for every year was done and fixed it on the second saturday of July every year. Committee members was elected, President- Head of the Department, Vice President- Dr. Kamakshy V, Secretary- Dr. Divya T, Treasurer- Dr. Vinitha T. Tharakan and Lincy C. J (Student alumnus). Regarding the registration fee it was fixed to 250/-, also details regarding ASTA scholarships were discussed during the meeting. 

Cultural performances added vibrancy to the event. Angel and Anugraha mesmerized the audience with a captivating duet dance performance, while Jenifa Justin’s soulful rendition left everyone spellbound. The fashion show, featuring students from the second year History department, showcased creativity and style. Additionally, a group dance performance by second-year History students added dynamism to the event. Aiswarya Shibu’s comical news reading brought laughter and joy to all present. 

One of the highlights of the day was the memory-sharing session, where alumni reminisced about their time at St. Teresa’s College. Their anecdotes and experiences served as a source of inspiration for current students, reinforcing the bond between past and present. 

Overall, the History Department’s Alumni Day was a resounding success, fostering camaraderie and nostalgia among attendees while celebrating the rich heritage of the department.
