The English Association launched a campaign called ‘Alphabet of Love‘ to help the flood-affected students of Al-Farookhia H.S.S, Cheranallur, which is one of the beneficiaries of the TROP activities of the department. Many students of the school were seriously affected by the flood and suffered immense losses including their books and other necessary items. Therefore, the Association decided to provide school kits for the students of Al-Farookhia.

The campaign was a huge success among the students as well as the faculty of the department and the Association collected stationery and other items worth Rs. 9000/- towards ‘Alphabet of Love’. On 13th September 2018, the Head of the English Department, Dr. Beena Job handed over the items collected to Ms. Anithakumari, the Headmistress of Al-Farookhia School, during a formal function organized by the school authorities and PTA in acknowledgment of the efforts taken by the English Association.

The function was vibrant and heart-touching with the live performances staged by the students as well as words of gratitude spoken by the school representatives. They presented a memento to the English Department as a sign of their love and gratitude.
