The DMS TROP(Teresian Rural Outreach Program) members of St.Teresa’s College Ernakulam visited St. Joseph’s UP School in Mulavukkad Panchayat with a vision to educate the students of sixth and seventh classes through a drawing competition, the importance and significance of the International Heart Day which was observed recently.

The drawing competition was supported by a theme of A Heart for Every Heart and all thirty-three students had successfully and innovatively come up with their ideas and creativity on the papers within the one-hour duration.

For their creativity and novel ideas, a cash prize of Rs.200 was awarded to first prize winner Niya Tresa of VI-grade and Rs.100 to Naveen of VII grade, second prize winner.

At the end of the session, the students were able to understand the importance of spreading happiness to loved ones and also how happiness invokes a healthier heart free of diseases.

The DMS TROP members for this initiative were Arya, Vishwa, Alka, Sruthy, and Leya. The TROP team coordinator, Ms. Praseetha M S, our faculty inspired students to move forward with such initiatives and for imbibing in a sense of teamwork.
