The Department of Commerce (SF) organised an online certificate course on financial markets for the third year UG students . The 10-hour course spanned three days from 9th to 11th February. The topics of the session included personal finance, stock markets, financial assets, and effective management of money and debt. The valuable guidelines on how to become a responsible investor, make better financial decisions, and understand long-term investments including equities was also provided . At the end of the programme, students took a 30 minute online assessment to consolidate their learnings. This initiative truly succeeded in creating financially knowledgeable and skilled youth and to open-up career opportunities in the financial services industry.
