Dr. E.P Yeshodharan, Emeritus Professor, School of Environmental Studies, CUSAT giving a talk on “Sustainable Environment: How far? How long?”

On 15th November, 2017, the Department of Economics and Department of Chemistry of St. Teresa’s College, Ernakulam organized an inter disciplinary seminar for the first time in the history of the college. The chief guests of the day were Dr. E.P Yeshodharan, Emeritus Professor, School of Environmental Studies, CUSAT and Dr. Vishakha Varma, Retd. Principal, Panampilly Memorial Government College, Chalakudy. Dr. Priya Nair from the Dept. of English talked about the book on Environmental Studies which was authored by staff members of different departments of the college like Botany, Chemistry, Economics and English. The book is based on the UGC syllabus for all undergraduate courses of all branches of higher education. Through the inter disciplinary and inter departmental effort, the book was published under the college’s very own publication house- the Teresian Publishing House. The book was released by Dr. (Sr) Vinitha, Director, St. Teresa’s College.

The technical session was led by Dr. E.P Yeshodharan, Emeritus Professor, School of Environmental Studies, CUSAT. The topic of his lecture was “Sustainable Environment: How far? How long?”

Dr. Vishakha Varma, Retd. Principal, Panampilly Memorial Govt. College, Chalakudy gave a talk on “The issue of sustainable development”.
