Commemorating Kerala Reading Day, the students from the Department of Management Studies jointly with the Library Club of St Teresa’s College opened the doors of words to the students of Devi Vilasam U P School, Nayarambalam, and St.Sebastian UP School, Mulavukkad. To instill and generate reading habits in the younger generation and rejuvenate young minds with its importance, select students and teachers from the Department of Management Studies interacted with the school students by reading and telling stories. Reading is a silver bullet, it can make the unimaginable possible through the power of its inspiration!

Our students said “ There were naughty ones and silent ones among the school children but their innocence made the teaching experience wonderful. The whole experience was refreshing and will always remain special to us! ”

This activity comes first in the series. The students of CSR Club (The Good Samaritans) are looking forward to this social responsibility work to motivate students of Anganwadis also. Few stories like Totto-Chan and poems by Kunjunni Master/Mash were introduced and read to the school students. “The greatest gift you can ever give another person is your own happiness”. The CSR Club student members were happy to gift story books and Eco-friendly pens to the students.
