Activity Description (100  – 200  words): The activity conducted was a webinar based on World Environment Day. The speaker for the session was Dr. Jinu John, Assistant Professor, Department of Biotechnology, CMS College Kottayam. The speaker initiated his talk with the brief introduction on virus. He discussed about its life cycle, its mechanism of infection, possible route for the infection, vaccines and various medicines used for the same. He added that, though healing of the environment is taking place at one end, on the other side the biological waste generation is increasing. He urged us to do our part to heal the environment which has been severely impacted by various human activities. He concluded the session by pausing a question to the participants “what you want to pass onto the next generation? Is it a cleaner air or masks from the day they are born?!” .The talk was very informative and essential for the participants.
