Onam was celebrated by the department of Mathematics and Statistics over the course of 5 days. 

From 23rd to 26th August, a variety of games were held from 2:30pm – 3:30pm. There was a Dress code given which most of the students and teachers followed during this course of time.The inauguration of the celebrations on 23rd started with our Vice principal Ms. Betty placing lemons on the spoons of contestants for the lemon race. On the first day we conducted ‘lemon and spoon race’, ‘vellam vellam sarvatra vellam’ and ‘vattam karakki’ competitions. On 24th, ‘suchiyum noolum’, ‘chakkilottam’ and ‘katte nee veeshanam ippol’ competitions were held. On 25 th decor competition named ‘alankrita’ was held, each class decorated their allotted space beautifully with eco-friendly reusable items in the given time. And exciting games like ‘mundu udippikkal’ ,’frog jump’ , ‘bomb in the city’ and ‘geometric pookalam’ were conducted. For each competition the winners were selected and given prizes on 29th, the final day of celebrations. There was an active participation from the part of students as well as teachers making each day joyful and memorable. 

On 29th August 2022, students and teachers, all dressed in ethnic attire, assembled in the Teresian Gym Plaza for the final event of ‘Vannonam’. The emcee Ms.Prajnaa Praveen, started the event with a welcome speech and then a prayer, followed by speeches from the Head of Department Ms.Ursula Paul and the student association representative, Ms.Theertha Prakash. Everyone brought reusable cups as part of the ‘Paanapathram Challenge’ for the payasam that was distributed throughout the event. The cultural programs began with Thiruvathira by Year II, followed by a dance by 3B. Then the Malayali Manka competition was held in which a student from each class participated. The students walked the ramp, introduced themselves and were each asked to speak about a topic given by the teachers. Then a dance was performed by 3A, a fusion dance by Year II and a song by PG Statistics. Vadam Vali was played last and was won by Year III. Prizes were distributed to the winners of all the competitions, including those held on previous days. Malayali Manka was won by Nimisha of PG Mathematics II. Finally, a vote of thanks was given by the Student Association Secretary Ms.Ameesha Paul.
